How Muro Vecinal handles the personal data of neighbors, communities and people who write to us.
Last updated: 10/28/2026
This is a translation for reference; the Spanish version prevails.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Qubits Technologies (Chile), which develops and operates Muro Vecinal (murovecinal.com).
For any question about your data or to exercise your rights, write to murovecinal@qubits.cl.
2. What data we handle
When you write to us from the site: name, email, phone, management company, community name, number of units, city, country, your message, your IP address and browser.
When you use the app or the web as part of a community: your account details (name, email and phone if you add it), your unit and role, and what you post or record (notices, wall messages, sales, complaints, votes and documents).
Technical data needed for security: access, error and important action logs.
3. What we use it for
To answer your messages and set up demos or participation in the pilot.
To provide the service to your community: show each person what belongs to their role and send the community’s notices and notifications.
To invoice the community’s subscription.
To protect the service, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
4. Legal basis
Your consent, when you write to us using the form.
The relationship with your community, which hires the service for its neighbors.
Our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and running.
Compliance with legal obligations, such as tax obligations.
5. Who else can see it
Within your community, other people only see what belongs to their role and what you choose to show.
Providers that help us operate (hosting, email delivery and payments), under contracts that require them to protect the data and use it only for that purpose.
Authorities, when the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
Form messages, up to 24 months from the last contact, unless your community hires the service.
A community’s data, for as long as the subscription lasts. When it ends, the community can ask for a copy and then we delete or anonymize it, except what the law requires us to keep.
7. Your rights
You can request access, rectification, deletion, objection, portability or blocking of your data, and not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing, under Chile’s personal data protection Law 21,719.
Write to murovecinal@qubits.cl from the email linked to your data. We will reply within the legal deadlines.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with Chile’s Personal Data Protection Agency.
8. How we protect it
Encrypted connections across the site and the app, team access with password and verification code, logging of important actions and backups.
9. Cookies
We only use the cookies needed for the site to work: session, chosen language and security. We do not use advertising cookies.
10. Minors
Accounts are for people over 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version with its date. If the change is important, we will also announce it in the app.
